Trustees

The Orcome Trust is a small organisation; the present Trustees, selected from the community, have varied knowledge and interests and meet twice yearly.

John Kennedy

Chairman of trust. Chartered Surveyor. Built up a significant International Property Business. Maintains Interests in property and the countryside.

Patricia Kennedy

Brought up in local area. Keen gardener and all country life. Former Chair of Scotland Gardens Scheme and closely involved with Dawyck gardens. Developed the garden at Newhall over 20 years.

Andrew Jackson

Following 25 years of managing international real estate, equity portfolios and teams across the globe for one of Europe’s largest fund managers, Andrew’s current focus is on sailing and travelling.

Bruce Hobbs

As a mathematician and geophysicist Bruce spent 34 years in academia and then co-founded a spin-out company, the largest in Scotland, from the University into industry where he stayed for seven years until retiring.

Charlotte Kennedy

Charlie lives locally with her young family. She works as a mental health coach, specialising in adolescent ADHD. When not working, she enjoys family adventures in the Pentlands.

Gordon Murray

Lawyer with a strong interest in the Arts and in particular Music.

Kirsty Ferguson

Kirsty works as a local GP and has lived with her family in the area for over 20 years. She highly values rural life and the remote spaces in this part of Scotland. Through her work she has an awareness of community challenges that exist.
